INTRO: Arya 2 is the latest film of Allu Arjun in the direction of Sukumar (Arya’s director). Film cast includes Navadeep, Kajal, Sraddha Das, etc. The movie had a grand premiere today (a day before the release) and the makers are very positive about the film’s prospects! Let’s look at ARYA 2 FILM REVIEW…..

HIGHLIGHTS: Allu Arjun’s energy and dances, superb Cinematography by Rajasekhar, Brahmanandam’s comedy episodes, and 2 songs (on screen) were few of the positive elements!

PITFALLS: Lackluster story/screenplay by director Sukumar, confused narration/characterizations, dragging 2nd half and a dull climax will surely work against this highly anticipated film.

FINAL ANALYSIS: There was no connection/relation between this Arya 2 and it’s original Arya (in story and treatment wise). The original was impressive from the word go…! Here, the movie gets into an irritating mode as the movie gets towards it’s climax. Though the songs by DeviSri are awesome to listen, the filming of the songs is not great. The hero & heroine characters are spine-less and makes us clue less in the end. No strong reasons to love/hate/marry each other. We’ll be confused about Arya’s obsession towards his friend Ajay (Navadeep) and we don’t even know whether he wants Ajay or Geetha (Kajal). The perversion/obsession kind of heroism always has negative shades and that will surely not impress the audience.

The film has it’s own merits though. The strategies, mannerisms, acts of hero are very well written by the director and in fact, they were very creative. If the climax of the film connects well with the audience, the film will surely impress (at least a section of audience). The director tried to narrate the film in a different style, but succeeded only in parts!

ARYA 2 film suffers from “complexity and conceivability,” problem and lacks simplicity. Any one who prefers the former to the latter will immensely like this film… like I did…!

The movie will surely get some great openings due to the expectations, but, it might be an above-average film in the end and will disappoint the major portion of audience (it will bite the dust in B, C centers)!

Note: Allu Arjun looked so annoying to me (his make-up, hair style, etc)… Is he spoiling himself by seeking the image of a stylish star??? He urgently needs to comeback to his normal/basic looks (like in Aarya-1)… But, he should be complemented for accepting such an intelligent (at least on the paper) script and trying to do justice with his energy levels…. Expecting more of this novel scripts from his side in future…
