Posted by: admin    in celebs, Movies

Akkineni Nagarjuna in KEDI Movie

Akkineni Nagarjuna‘s KEDI movie is from the house of Kamakshi Movies (produced: Boss, Nenunnanu, King in the past). Movie is being made with the subject of gambling and some action packed episodes. Music is by Sandeep Chowta and the sound track includes the remix of old hit: “Mu Mu Mu Muddhante Chedhaa..??Mamata Mohandas is the main heroine….!

Venkatesh in Namo Venkatesha

NAMO VENKATESA has Victory Venkatesh & Trisha in lead roles. Ace director: Seenu Vytla directs this comical entertainer and Suresh Productions produces the film. Devi Sri Prasad has scored some mediocre music for this film and the repeat value of the comedy quotient in the film decides the fate of this flick…!

Jr.Ntr in ADHURS film

Jr.NTR has teamed up with his favorite director: VV Vinayak for this ADHURS film. It’s being produced by young producers/politicians: Kodali Naani & Vallabhaneni Vamsi. Nayanatara & Sheela are the female leads in this family entertainer. Devi Sri scored music and Jr.NTR has sung a song in this movie…!

Raviteja & Priyamani in Shambho SS

Award winning Tamil director Samudrakani makes his debut in Telugu with this SHAMBHO SIVA SHAMBO movie. Raviteja teams up with Allari Naresh & SivaBalaji to pair up with Priyamani & Abhinaya. Sundar scored music for this remake and Bellamkonda produces this. The film looks like a good film with some reality added and I’m eagerly waiting to watch this…!

Daggubati Rana in & as LEADER

Director: Sekhar Kammula takes a different route this time and comes up with a social message film - LEADER. Daggubati Raana makes debut as hero with this flick and Mickey J Meyer‘s songs were already getting good applause. Right film to get released in this horrible times of worst political scenario in Andhra…

Kajal Agarwal in OM SHANTI

Trendy film: OM SHANTI is from the production house of Vyjayanti Films and Praksh debuts as director with this different film. Kajal, Aditi, Bindu pair up with Navadeep & Nikhil. Ilayaraja scored music for this film after a long time!

Note: Most of these films are slated for a SANKRANTI release….!

Kajal Agarwal, Navadeep, Nikhil, Bindu Madhavi and Aditi Sharma play main leads

Biggest FLOP HEROES of this Decade?

   Posted by: admin    in Movies

Nandamuri Tarakaratna & Dasari ArunKumar

Nandamuri Tarakaratna & Dasari ArunKumar

In Telugu Film Industry VAARASATVAM or NEPOTISM (entering the industry because of their father/brother/father-in-law/bother-in-law) rules and many of them were left with no trace after many attempts.  Nandamuri Tarakaratna & Dasari ArunKumar were two of those heroes who have never seen a success in their lives. They’ve tried at least 10 times to impress, but they’ve tasted the same result.

MUST LISTEN TELUGU SONG FROM “oka ooorilo” FILM

Tags: , , , , , , , , ,

Anjaneyulu is the latest telugu cinema of Raviteja. He is paired up with Nayanatara in this new film. Comedian Ganesh is making his debut as producer with this comedy entertainer. Parasuram (debuted with Yuvatha last year) directs this film & Thaman scores music. Complete ANJANEYULU Film review follows…

Nayanatara & Raviteja

Nayanatara & Raviteja

STORY: Anjaneyulu (Raviteja) works in a local Tv channel (hmtv channel) and one fine day he saves Anjali (Nayantara) from goons and falls in love at the 1st sight. On the otherhand, Home Minister asks Badaa (Sonu Sood) to kill a journalist and in the same incident Anjaneyulu loses his parents. How he takes revenge on Badaa by entering into the villian’s kingdom as an under-cover reporter and how he gets back the love of his Anjali forms rest of the plot.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Vibrant energy of Raviteja and his dialogue delivery.
  • Brahmanandam’s comedy in the 1st half.
  • Pretty decent and entertaining 1st half.
  • Songs are neatly picturized.

PITFALLS:

  • Director has mixed up many movies (Pokiri, etc) without any logic and has made the confused 2nd half out of them.
  • Not-so-catchy songs and poor background score.
  • No logic at all in most of the episodes in 2nd half.
  • Boring 2nd half.
  • Many dialogues have double-meanings and are cheap.
  • Nayanatara looks so pale and irritates with her annoying expressions.

ANALYSIS: It looks like the director has concentrated more on writing different episodes of the film first rather than working on the script itself. Though ANJANEYULU’s 1st half is pretty entertaining with some good comedy, the 2nd half lets us down. But in the end, the movie might be a safe project as it might work for Raviteja’s comedy! And, the director has played it safe by sticking to the successful formula of a commercial entertainer.

Note: Tickets for Anjaneyulu movie were freely available still after the show started in most of the theatres in Hyderabad (Wednesday release might be one of the factor…or is public loosing interest in coming to theatres until the movie generates a HIT talk..??)

RAMCHARAN looks Great in MAGADHEERA

RAMCHARAN looks Great in MAGADHEERA

Every one is geared up for the grand release of Ram Charan’s 2nd film: MAGADHEERA. Ace director SS Rajamouli directs this historical film. Though the songs are not that great, the stills of the film are generating great amount of interest…

Please check this space for a detailed Magadheera Film Review by 3pm…July 31st!

Updated Version follows:

Summary: Yay! Telugu Cinema Industry has got another HIT in 2009 (3rd film after Arundathi& Kick films). Everyone in the industry and even the audience have been starving for one proper film and now, Geetha Arts can be proud of giving such a magnum-opus film in the form of MAGADHEERA.

MAGADHEERA starts impressing us in it’s opening episode itself. There after the film continues with some time-pass episodes for the next 30 minutes before the narration of flashback story starts. Interval bang will make us go wild and post-interval, we will be left with no time to take breath as the action episodes, confrontation scenes, etc will keep popping up one after the another. Magadheera ends on a good note and leaves the viewer with a great level of satisfaction & appreciation for the cast & crew of Magadheera movie…!

Kudos to Following people in their order of importance for the success of film:

  1. SS Rajamouli for his vision & guts to direct such a brilliant film.
  2. Ram Charan Teja for his hard work in action episodes, dialogue delivery & dances
  3. Senthil Kumar for his simply superb camera work
  4. MM Keeravani for his ultra-impressive re-recording work
  5. Allu Aravind for having faith in the crew and taking such a huge risk of producing this incarnation subject

Negatives:

  1. Improper EDITING work. At times the scenes end abruptly and next scene starts from no where.
  2. The Helicopter blasting scene in climax was pathetic and it looks so cheap.
  3. RamCharan should work on improving his expression abilities.. (he looks dumb in the ‘Jorse Jorse…’ song).
  4. No establishment of negative side of Ranadhir Billa character in the flashback episode (everyone in the kingdom hates him with no reason behind it).
  5. Using graphics to show Chiru dancing is unwanted. It’s one of the disappointing episodes in the film.
  6. Every time the hero & heroine touches, the flashback memories splash only to the hero but not the heroine..reason???

Have u seen SHAMILI (Baby Shamili) ? OY – 3.25/5

   Posted by: admin    in celebs

OY FILM REVIEW: 3.25 / 5

Hmm………. SHAMILI (once Baby Shamili) isn’t that great looking in the film OY. OY film has few wonderful scenes, music and photography. Siddardh was very good as a lover boy who tries hard to fulfull his lady love’s wishes before she dies. Napolean, Krishnudu, Surekha & Sunil are also good.

SHAMILI has got a nice role to perform and she has done it with great ease & naturality. Though she doesn’t bring the glamour quotient to the table, she was able to make a mark with her superb performance. The movie itself is a mix of many films like Maniratnam‘s Geetanjali, Pawankalyan‘s Johnny (both were again inspired by hollywood film: LoveStory).

It will be a bit letdown for the people who have expected a lot from SHAMILI, but for normal audience, SHAMILI is here to stay!

HIGHLIGHTS: The OYE MOVIE can be watched once for it’s lighter vein comedy (doesn’t work at times though), wonderful chemistry between lead pair of Siddardh & Shamili, really nice sentiment scenes & touching climax. Great visuals & music add to the merits list.

Baby SHAMILI was shot to fame with ManiRatnam‘s ANJALI film. Later, she acted in many Telugu & Tamil films like: Joker, Killer, Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari, etc. After a decade, she is making her entry as heroine opposite to Siddardh in his latest Telugu film: OY (Oye…!). Shamili’s pictures were not released to increase the curiosity levels and we might see her directly in the film.

CHIRU saved the life of Dharma Sri

Megastar Chiranjeevi has saved a small boy named: Sai Mohan Dharma Sri’s life with the help of his PRAJA RAJYAM party followers. Sai Mohan is the younger son of Shankar & Leelavati of Anakapalli. The couple’s elder son has already died due to a liver disease and this younger one is also suffering with the same since is birth and needs an urgent operation (30 Lakh rupees). The local leaders have taken this to CHIRU’s notice and he was so moved that he immediately promised them about his helping hand.

Chiranjeevi had spoken to the doctors @ Kamineni hospitals and got down the operation cost from 30 Lakh rupees to 17 Lakhs. Moving further, PRP leaders have raised the funds and donated the required 17 Lakhs and the operation was successful. The boy is safe now and he is seen smiling. The parents of Sai Mohan are raving Megastar on one-side and on the other hand, Chiranjeevi has thanked all his party men for coming together for such a great cause!

MITHRUDU Movie Review – 1.5 / 5

   Posted by: admin    in Movies

Balakrishna in MITHRUDU

Balakrishna in MITHRUDU

STORY: Aditya (Nandamuri Balakrishna) lives in Malaysia and has hardly any hopes to live. But, after getting close to Indu (Priyamani), he changes his plans to die and marries her. They fly back to India and Aditya comes to know that Indu has another person, Madhu (Deepak) in her life. After getting shocked with this info and getting a bad reception from her family, Aditya starts his researching on Indu running behind him in Malaysia. Rest of the story is mere crap.

ANALYSIS: Whoever has not seen the movie are highly lucky as the movie: MITHRUDU will leave a huge disappointment. Right from the word go, MITHRUDU misses the appeal and Balakrishna’s passive character adds to the woes. He hardly has any dialogues in the 1st half of the film. Though the movie picks up (a bit) after the interval, MITHRUDU again brings back the routine formula and drags the final 30 minutes. Priyamani looks ok and suited for Balakrishna. Balayya’s performance is better not to be spoken. He doesn’t have any scope to perform and his costumes and hair make-up are insane. Even the comedy by Brahmi and Krishna Bagawan doesn’t evoke any laughter.

Technically, the film scores below par with pathetic screen-play and direction by debutant MAHADEV and ordinary music by Manisharma. Photography is ok as a whole and editing should have been crisper.

Note: Don’t know the reason behind MITHRUDU theatres not getting crowds and Balakrishna still acting in movies???? I would rather not watch the movie from next time than finding it difficult to analyze a movie of MITHRUDU’s caliber… (No offense meant…!)
