
ANR in 1940's
Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR) has started his career on May 8th, 1944 (before the Indian Independence) with a Telugu Film titled: Sita Rama Jananam. Ghantasala Balaramayya has introduced ANR into filmdom after seeing him on the railway platform in Vijayawada. Few facts about ANR’s early career:
* 1st remuneration: 250 Rs/month
* 1st character: Lord. Sri Rama
* 1st film: Sita Rama Jananam
* 1st film release date: December 1st, 1944
* 1st dialogue: “Gurudeva! Satyakethu Harischandrudu maa vamsaaniki chendhina vaade kadha?”
* 1st song sang: “Guru Brahma Parameswara vande niranjana thamobhanjana…!” (same movie)
Note: ANR has given 10 consecutive hits (including his debut film) in the start of his career. The films include:
